In order to improve the site, all donations of any sort are appreciated. The goal is to eventually buy a domain for the site to make it more user-friendly and organized. I love the Weebly blog format so far, but would love to be able to create an even better product. Right now, all donations will go towards improving the blog. Also, you can get a shout-out if you donate $3 or more. I'm hoping to create more perks in time, but as of right now there is not enough capital to create the types of perks I want. Currently, I am adding more segments to the site each day and all feed back is appreciated, whether you like the segments or not. The donations page shows a goal of $100. Once I raise the $100, I would like to start donating 25% of the profits to a charity or local venue. I have discovered a new cinema in Tacoma that I really enjoy, so the first 25% would probably end up going to Grand Cinema. Grand Cinema shows local, foreign, and independent films. It is run by volunteers who enjoy watching movies and appreciate lesser-watched films. This venue shows how films have the powerful effect of connecting local communities with new cultures. I am in no way associated with the cinema, but think that it is a perfect place to donate the first chunk to.
With that, I encourage you to donate if you like this blog. Based on the statistics, Firstflix is growing more and more each day. I am excited to be expanding this personal blog into a bigger format and cannot wait to see where we end up. Perhaps there will be guest reviews along with other ideas.
