Independence Day Resurgence: The long-awaited sequel to Independence Day finally arrives. I still have not seen the original film, but I plan on watching it tonight since I own it. Jeff Goldblum returns in his role, but it looks like Will Smith will be missing from the action. Early buzz is about what I expected with a split audience. I'm sure it will still be fun to watch Goldblum kicking some alien a** though. As a farmer from Mississippi, McConaughey leads a group of rebels against the Confederate Army in this one. What sounds like a perfectly fit role for McConaughey is turning out to be not so good based on the early buzz. I'm still going to give it a chance, but I'm a bit scared that Matt is going back to his olden ways. At least its not a rom-com! What looks like a screwball dark dramedy has the potential of being in my top ten for the year. Paul Dano and Daniel Radcliffe are two actors who have been gaining a following for themselves for almost a decade now. I cannot wait to see how their characters play off of each other. One of my friends has been hyping this film up ever since the Sundance Festival. Currently it sits as his number one film of 2016 so I am quite intrigued. I will probably love it, but it is also quite possible that I will hate it. We will just have to see!
