Ghostbusters: The early buzz is surprisingly good for this reboot. Even the most disliked video ever on Youtube seems to have been forgiven. This reboot features an almost entirely female cast comprised of SNLers who have seemingly become the Queens of Comedy. Honestly, this might be the first Paul Feig movie I see considering I have skipped the others. I'm still not really looking to pay full price for it, so I will probably see it on discount Tuesday. |
Cafe Society: I've never been a huge Woody Allen fan. In fact, the only Woody Allen film I have seen and like is Annie Hall. I know a lot of people say the same thing, but his movies seem to be targeted at an older audience. To be fair, they are stylized in a certain way that just is not for me. From what I've heard, this new film is not even a good Woody Allen film so I may not see it for a while, if ever. |
Equals: This one looks like a really cool take on a utopian society. The characters are not allowed to express emotion because of the harm it can cause in society. Kristen Stewart is the perfect fit for this kind of role and I am a big fan of Nicholaus Holt as well. Even if the early buzz is iffy, I want to see this film because of the depth of the subject matter. |
