Issues Behind the Flix: What's the Deal With That Talking Sausage Movie?

Seth Rogen (Knocked Up, Superbad) and his comedic crew are making a big splash with their newest film, Sausage Party.  It's not very often that we get a rated R animated film, so I'm ecstatic about this one.  The trailers have been hilarious and give us the sense that this is not a child friendly movie.  So, is that a real problem?  No, parents should know that Seth Rogen films are not suitable for their kids.

Just because the film is animated does not mean that it has to be suitable for children.  In fact, it's awesome that adults can enjoy an animated film without a whiny audience.  I love Pixar's films, but everytime I see one in theaters there is either a baby crying or a very talkative kid talking to their parental unit.  Sausage Party has made it possible for an adult to enjoy a raunchy film with friends and without children.  Whoever is complaining about this can stay home and watch Inside Out (which is one of my favorite Pixar films)  with their kids, just don't disrupt my viewing experience of this R-rated creative concept.

Also, whoever hates this film without viewing it declares war upon creativity.  The artists behind this work have blown off steam with their past works, and quite frankly I got bored with The Night Before.  It was more of the same and lost creative value because of that.  Sausage Party looks like a fresh way to revive the genre that this team has single-handedly created.  They will no longer be restricted to live action, by getting a chance to expand their boundaries.  So to them I say, YOU HAVE TO FIGHT FOR YOUR RIGHT TO ANIMATE!!

For those of you that have no idea what I just ranted about, here is a trailer for the film:
