1. Ricky Gervais is hilarious.
His type of comedy may not be for everyone. It certainly may not be good for NBC. But, I loved his monologue with his cracks at certain films and certain people in the film industry.

I'm sorry that the acceptance speech that Tarantino made in your honor was a bit crude and somewhat distasteful. Surely, you deserved better than that.
3. What was that Jonah Hill?
Everything that I heard Jonah Hill say was funny. Too bad NBC could only air like three words out of your mouth.
4. Maybe I should watch The Martian.
This might just be the Ridley Scott movie I have been waiting for. I can't say that I have liked a lot of his past work.
5. Wait, did you say Brie Larson?
YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSS. Brie Larson won! Can she win the Oscar though? Probably not. I'd like to thank The Academy in advance for even nominating her.
6. Stallone = win of the night
Stallone, you are the real MVP. You redeemed the Rocky series for me with your superb acting in Creed and I cannot wait for the next film of the franchise.
7. Mel Gibson returns.
I can't say I missed him much, but I guess Ricky Gervais couldn't either so its ok.
8. Denzel Washington, The Smoothest Speaker Around.
That was a pretty bad acceptance speech, but somehow it flowed so well because Washington is such a smooth talker.
9. So many TV shows, so little money...
I want to watch all of the TV shows nominated. Its quite unfortunate that they are almost all on different streaming services. Come on, I don't have that much money!
