It's been awhile since we saw Tremblay's performance in Room, so I'm quite excited to see more screen time for this talented kid. Shut In looks dark and horrifying, but also meaningful to the horror genre. Sure, there are jump scares every so often in the trailer but there also appear to be deeper concepts going on throughout. Plus, the film also has Charlie Heaton fresh off of a haunting performance in Stranger Things.
I'm not sure if this is just a dull trailer, or if the movie is going to have a dull tone. What I do know is that this trailer does not give me any desire to see the full film. First off, there is no real sense of an organized story. Rather, the film appears to be a peek into a boring life in the American Northwest. Secondly, Kristen Stewart has yet to impress me with any performance. Yet, this dull role may end up being a perfect match for her stoic style.
The Hunt for Red October meets Jaws meets Red Tails in this trailer for USS Indianapolis: Men of Courage. Could this be the perfect role for Nicholas Cage? Probably not, but it looks like a whole lot of fun! I don't know what people are thinking when they cast Nicholas Cage in roles like this one, but I applaud their efforts to bring out Cage's overly-emotional acting skills. As long as Cage keeps on acting, I am sure the movie studios casting him will continue to make money!
