This is undoubtedly the oddest concept for an animated film that I have ever seen. I have no idea how this could possibly be a good movie, but Dreamworks did make a fantastic film about an ogre and a donkey, so who knows what else they can do. Better yet, Alec Baldwin has been cast as a boss and a baby which is a seemingly fitting roll for the actor who recently came back into the limelight with his portrayal of Donald Trump.

Personally, I hope that this film has a bit more originality than The Force Awakens did. Luckily, this is a completely different part of a story that captivated audiences a long time ago. The cast is flashy and fresh, portraying a team of rebels that attempt to stop Darth Vader's progress. I am excited to see Vader again, considering he is the best villain of the franchise. Also Forest Whitaker and Mads Mikkelsen are nice additions to the franchise!

As a past player of Assassin's Creed, I expect some crazy action sequences involved in the making of this film. Surely, the cast fits well into their roles. However, I am a bit concerned that the transformation of the video game into a film medium could present some writing problems. The beauty of the game was the open world for exploration. A linear story that is guided in one direction might not be as exciting to audiences as the freedom of the game was.
